Advanced Group
(Ages 13 & Older)
The Advanced Group is designed for swimmers ages 13 and older who are committed to high-level training and competition. This group focuses on refining stroke technique, building endurance, and preparing for championship-level meets. Swimmers train five times per week, following a structured program that includes speed work, video analysis, race strategy, and strength-building exercises.

Phase 1:
High-Performance Training & Strength Building
- Enhancing stroke efficiency through advanced drills.
- Incorporating dryland training for strength and conditioning.
- Focusing on endurance for longer-distance events.

Phase 2:
Advanced Competition & Tactical Training
- Mastering race starts, turns, and underwater transitions.
- Developing customized race strategies based on event selection.
- Competing in RIMA League meets to track progress.

Phase 3:
Nationals & College Prep
- Preparing for the RIMA Championships in March.
- Training for potential qualification for USA Swimming competitions.
- Understanding college swimming opportunities and recruitment processes.
